By Air

Church Grocholicach

is a Parish Roman Catholic in Grocholicach formerly a separate town, now part of Belchatow.The oldest parish in decane Belchatow, in the Archdiocese of lodz.Brick temple built in the early thirteenth century, one of the oldest churches in the Archdiocese of lodz.In 1220 years the archbishop of Gniezno Vincent of Czarnkow arms Nalecz Grocholicach founded the church.It was the first church in the area.Its construction lasted from 1230 to 1233.Archbishop erected a parish church.All Saints in 1230. Thus began the history of the oldest parish Belchatow.In 1683 the parish consisted of 400 people in 1729 800 parishioners and the largest territorial and numerical in 1886.The parish then numbered 4,984 persons.

Olszewski Manor

Olszewski manor in Belchatow is a complex of manor and park in the style of late Baroque, which was created in the first half of the eighteenth century, when the property was owned belchatowskich Rychlowskich family, coat of arms Nalecz.The house was enlarged by subsequent owners, the family coat of arms Kaczkowskich Pig.The designer probably was Italian architect bishop of Plock, Lodovico Coci.In 1867 there was a total capital Kaczkowskich auction.Subsequent to its owners and Ernest Reinhold Ludendorf Spiller.In 1887 the property bought from Ernest Henry Ludendorfa Hellwig - Bavarian origin.In possession of the family mansion was Hellwigow to the end of World War II.Then the manor came into possession of the family Olszewski.Stefan Hellwig became the patron of the street where the manor house.Today it houses the Regional Museum where you can read the history of the city and the region and see the exhibition artists.

Regional Museum in Belchatow

The idea of creating a museum was born in early '90 and July 16, 1993 the first meeting of the Founding Committee of the Regional Museum. Members of the Committee appealed to the rulers of the city to create a museum Belchatow.The museum started its activities officially in 1995, at his office and the designated historic, late baroque manor house in the city center (the street Hellwig 11), which was the seat of the city's finest families.By 1987, the family took care of Olszewski.After the death of Wenceslas Olszewski - junior building was bought by the City in Belchatow, but its very poor condition did not allow him to locate the seat of the museum.Regained its full splendor after restoration ended in 1998.On 7-8 October 2005 in the Regional Museum was organized record-breaking attempt for the Guinness Book of Records by Eugene Geno Malkowski, who for 24 hours paintings (measuring 80 cm x 100 cm) based on previously performed by the artist sketches.

Municipal Cultural Center

History of the Municipal Cultural Center began in 1966.In 2004 the institution changed its name to the Municipal Cultural Centre, known as MCC belchatowianom.We are an organizational unit of local government   Belchatow city.Our goal is to create conditions for a comprehensive cultural education and creating and meeting the cultural needs of residents Belchatow.We want to give access to as belchatowianom broadest and artists - amateurs to develop talents and present their own work.We organize film screenings, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, surveys and theater.MCC is a place of business groups, film, music, dance, theater, art and hobby and meeting place for seniors.We want our activities to serve residents Belchatow integration and support of local identity-building process.
