Castle of the Mazovian Dukes

Is a castle built in the fourteenth century by the Duke of Mazovia Siemowit III on swampy ground in Ciechanow.Its walls with a height of 10 m are built on a rectangular plan.In the corners there are two round towers.After the death of the last Duke of Mazovia, Janusz III, was offered a dowry of Queen Bona, wife of Sigismund the Old.In the sixteenth century, the castle was rebuilt as a Renaissance residence of Queen Bona then just going through its best times.Castle suffered much damage during the Swedish invasion.

Parish Church in Ciechanow

A former church parish, late Gothic from the first quarter of the sixteenth century.Church built in the first quarter of the sixteenth century, consecrated by the Bishop of Plock Noskowski Andrew (1547-1567).Damaged during the Swedish wars in 1657 and at the beginning.the eighteenth century.Renovated in 1781 In 1807, occupied by Napoleon's army and turned into a bakery.Has burned the entire interior furnishings.Further repairs of the church: 1822-3, the cost of General Vincent Krasinski and in the years 1876-8 and 1913-1920 (the latter designed by architect Stephen Schiller).

Museum of Romanticism in Opinogora

Museum of Romanticism in Opinogora opened on May 20, 1961, the 150th anniversary of Napoleon's decree restoring Opinogora Krasinski.At the Museum of Romanticism consists of several buildings located within the 22-hectare landscaped park in English style.The oldest are the neo-Gothic Mansion House with the 40 Nineteenth century housed a permanent exhibition devoted to Zygmunt Krasinski and outbuildings Dworska Neo-Gothic building which hosts temporary exhibitions.It also has established Centre for Studies in the Age of Napoleon.Since 2008, stands in the park built on the basis of a draft of Joseph Galezowski hundred years ago Mansion where you can watch an exhibition devoted to Polish Romanticism.

Water tower in Ciechanow

Expansion tank designed by architect George Michael Warsaw Boguslawski in 1972, the in cooperation with Dr.constructor.George Wiblika and sanitary engineer Richard Czugajewskiego.The building draws attention because of the shape of a torus embedded in a hyperboloid of two sheets.Received in the year 1977 award of the Minister of Construction and Building Materials Industry and the Governor congratulated for outstanding achievement Ciechanow creativity in architecture and construction.
