Redstar Cave

Red-star Cave Scenic Area is located at the east of Zhangla Basin, the west of Minshan Mountain. It has a higher altitude.

It is characterized in Karst landform and glacier lakes formed by the Fourth Ice Age. Red-star Lake is located at the place with the altitude of 4300 meters. The lake looks like a symmetrical five-star.

There is a red cave on the middle of the cliff. It is very mysterious that some red lights still shine even when the whole cave is hidden among the fogs.
 

Danyun Valley

Danyun Valley Scenic Resort is 18 kilometers far away from the east of Huanglong Valley. It is famous for the elegant valley scenery.

Danyun Valley is one of the five most famous scenic spots at Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area. It is rich in tree species, bushes, flowers and trees. It is the paradise for plants amateurs.

Danyun Valley Scenic Resort starts at Yusun Peaks, and extends till to the Fan Cave. It is 18.5 kilometers in length and the average height difference is 1300 meters. The height difference between two peaks is 1000 to 2000 meters in general.

In winter, the resort is covered with white snow. In summer, it is filled with green trees. In spring, red azaleas blossom all over the valley. In fall time, the red maple leaves cover the whole valley. It looks as if the valley were covered with the red fire cloud from the sky. That is the reason why the valley calls Danyun Valley, which means the valley of the red fire cloud in Chinese. There are fogs rising at the forest almost every day at Danyun Valley. When entering it, people will feel as if they entered a fairyland
 

Xuebaoding Valley

Xuebaoding Scenic Area has splendid modern glaciers and lakes, which are well developed. It Is not only the watershed of Minjiang River and Peijiang River, but also the original place of the two rivers.

Near Xuebaoding Peak, there are 3 mountains, whose altitudes are all about 5000 meters. It, together with the three mountains, Huanglong Mountain and Xueshanliang Mountain becomes the southeast screen of Songpan county. The total area is 160 square kilometers.

Xuebaoding Peak looks like a grand pyramid. It is the pilgrimage mountain for Tibetan Minority. At this resort, visitors can not only see sights of glaciers, but also feel the region devotion of Tibetan people. Besides, visitors can also feel the pleasure of mountaineering and adventure on the snow peak.


Yingbin Pond

When entering Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area, visitors can see many colorful ponds at their first sights.

Those ponds have different sizes, and scatter in proper orders. Lush trees are lined around the banks of the ponds.

 In spring time, kinds of flowers, butterflies, birds are all around the ponds. Besides, the paths and pavilions serve as foils to the beautiful natural scenery.

Those ponds are as smooth as mirrors. In good days, the reflections of sun, mountains and tree in the ponds are very colorful. The colorful ponds make people touch the nature closer than before.

Sigou Valley

Sigou Valley Scenic Area is 12 kilometers far away from Huanglong Valley. It is a spacious ancient glacier valley. The entrance of the valley is a spacious terrace. Huanglong town lies in this valley.

The altitude of this scenic area is 2700 meters to 4200 meters. The landform here is very changeable. There are high unique peaks topping to the sky.

And there are spacious beaches as well. The primitive forests and glaciers keep the original looks from ancient times up till now. Sigou Valley Scenic Area has totally different style with Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area, although it is the closest scenic spot to Huanglong.
