By Air

Nanded is connected by Air service to Mumbai,Delhi and Nagpur.The city has daily flight service to Mumbai.It has four flights in a week for Mumbai by Kingfisher Airlines and four flights in a week to Mumbai, Delhi and Nagpur by Go Air. The nearest international airport is Hyderabad(284 kilometre). Nanded has the distinction of having Marathwada regions first airport. But due to negligence, it was not developed over many years. As a part of JNNURM mission and Guru Ta Gaddi programe held in October 2008, it has been renovated and named as Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji Airport.

By Train

Direct trains are available to Nanded from Mumbai, Aurangabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Nagpur, Patna, Delhi, Rameswaram, Pune, Visakhapatnam Sriganganagar,Tirupati,Shirdi and Amritsar. Nanded is one of the Divisional Headquarters of South Central Railway. Soon Nanded will be a railways junction as a new rail line from Nanded-Yawatmal-Wardha connecting further to Nagpur has been announced and the work starts from February, 2009.Nanded(NED) is the Divisional Headquarters of Nanded Division of South Central Railway (SCR) zone of the Indian Railways. The entire Nanded Division was a part of Hyderabad Division. In 2003, Nanded Division was carved from Hyderabad Division for administrative reasons.

The jurisdiction of Nanded Railway Division is as follows: Mudkhed-Manmad (excl) Parbhani-Parli Vaijnath (excl) Purna-Akola-Khandwa (excl) Mudkhed-Pimpalkutti (excl).The traffic between Nanded and Hyderabad is huge as Nanded was a part of the Erstwhile Nizam state of Hyderabad. Keeping this in view, the South Central Railway (SCR), Hyderabad Division extended the erstwhile Kachiguda-Basar Meter Gauge Express to Nanded after Gauge Conversion.

By Road

Nanded is 651 kilometre east of Mumbai by road .It is on National Highway No.222 which connects Kalyan Near Mumbai to Nirmal in A.P.and about six-hour drive from Aurangabad and Hyderabad and 11-hour drive from Pune. Several passenger bus services operate from Nanded providing easy overnight connectivity with almost every major city in Maharashtra. These buses are reasonably priced and fairly punctual. The comfort level differs greatly from operator to operator.National Highway 222 (NH222) passes through Nanded. NH 222 connects the city of Kalyan near Mumbai in Maharashtra to Nirmal near Adilabad in Andhra Pradesh. This is one of the longest highway in Maharashtra.

Sachkhand Shri Hazur Sahib

Sachkhand Shri Hazur Sahib is the principal Sikh shrine at Nanded in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It marks the site where Guru Gobind Singh had his camp in 1708, after the departure of the emperor Bahadur Shah and where, in October 2008, the 300th anniversary celebration of the Guruship of Guru Granth Sahib took place.The tenth Guru held his court and congregation here. It is the site of his own tent where he was convalescing after he was attacked by assassins and the place at which Guru Gobind Singh ji 's light rose to rejoin the light of the Creator. This site is now one of five Takhats which are places of primary importance to the Sikhs. The other four takhats are: Akal Takhat at Amritsar, Takhat Keshgarh Sahib at Anandpur, Takhat Patna Sahib in Bihar District and Takhat Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo,Bhatinda,Punjab.

Sahastrakund Waterfall

This waterfall on the Banganga River is an unbelievable site. It flows round the year, as river Banganga makes from four to five places only to meet the Holy Godavari River. The Rock Pattern is equally interesting, as the black rock appears like a metal and as if wet. In reality the wetness is due to the shine it adores.The southwest part is picturesque site.

Kaleshwar temple

Kaleshwar temple It is a Shiva temple,on the banks of river Godavari.You can even get some primitive boating experience in a huge saucer-shaped vessel. Its actually in the village Vishnupuri, on the outskirts of Nanded.

Isapur Dam

Isapur Dam is an earthfill dam on Penganga river near Nanded in state of Maharashtra in India.The height of the dam above lowest foundation is 57 m (187 ft) while the length is 4,120.1 m (13,517 ft). The volume content is 11,216 km and gross storage capacity is 1,254,000.00 km.
