By Air

Nearest airport to Nathdwara is Udaipur, which is at a distance of about 48 km away. Regular buses and taxis ply to Nathdwara from Udaipur. Many domestic airlines connect the city to most of the major cities in India including Kolkata, Jaipur, Delhi and Mumbai. Regular flight services are available from Udaipur to Delhi and Mumbai. Taxi services are offered at a rate of Rs 700 from airport to Nathdwara city.

By Train

Udaipur is located in the main broad gauge railway line and the railway station is connected to all other railway stations in India. Dwarakadheesh

Dwarakadheesh is famed for its spiritual and flamboyant attractions. One of the important sites in this alluring location is a temple by the same name. As the name suggests, Dwarakadheesh represents lord Krishna. The temple is also known as Kankroli temple where the principal idol is Lord Krishna. The chief deity is believed to be bought from Madhura and this temple is one of the prominent places of worship of the Vaishnavites.Apart from the holy shrine, this place houses the Kankroli dam, which is a hot spot of the picnickers. The dam site is a fantastic spot to dwell in and its exceptionally beautiful arches with highly ornamental patterns would arrest the attention of the beholder. The embankments also catch the vision with the marvelous chhathris of the erstwhile royal families, which are not only aesthetic but also captivating. It is definite that the visitors would get a nice time with all this enchanting allures.

Srinathji Temple

Srinathji Temple the temple depicts the young Krishna with the Govardhans hill on his hand. The deity here is believed to be a self manifested one and it is the same deity, which was taken away from the Madhura temple in order to protect it from the Muslim invaders. The temple of Shrinathji dates back to the 12th century BC and it is built in like the shape of a house rather than a shrine. But in elegance and grace it surpasses all other contemporary shrines. The design of the temple resemble that of the house of Nanda Maharaja and thus the shrine is popularly called as Nanda Bhavan or Nandalaya.The temple enshrines a lofty spire with seven flags and a wheel. The deity in the temple is carved out of a single black marble, which grabs the attention of any onlooker. The posture is somewhat unique and it resembles that of the young Krishna upholding the Govardhana Mountain. Priests take care of the deity like a child, awakes it up in the morning, washes it, changes its clothes, offers specially prepared food and allow it to sleep, all at specific times of the day.

Eklingji

Eklingji a temple complex in which the presiding deity of the Sesodia dynasty adorns the chief idol, Eklingji is believed to be one of the manifestations of Lord Shiva. This temple complex enshrines fine artistic works and excessive carvings. All together there are 108 temples and the main temple goes back to the 15th century. Structure built with marble and granite with a pyramidal dome, this double storied structure is famed for it elaborately pillared main hall called mandap. A four face idol of lord Shiva adorns the sanctum of the temple.Apart from the main shrine there are quite number of lovely temples in side the huge walls of the complex. The temple witness’s large crowds on Monday’s and on all other days the temple premises is rather crowd free. The temple is placed on the pictorial banks of a lovely lake that adds the serenity and divinity of the holy premises. The entire environ depicts an ethereal appeal with the majestic knolls that sets as an imposing backdrop.

Charbhuja

Charbhuja a tiny town in the outskirts of Udaipur district, Charbhuja is famed for its profound religious connotations that has a colorful historical touch. Formerly known as Gadbor this traditional city is well known for its ancient ramifications. Literally the name of the city synonymous with the term fort.One of the landmark destinations in Charbhujs is the Charbhujaji Temple, which is embellished with breathtaking structural designs. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this temple brings out the architectural grandeur of a by gone century. Other significant places to be visited include the fort of Bor Rajputs, and an ancient shrine built in the time of Maharana Kumbha.
