By Air

The closest airport is the Chandigarh airport which is located around 25 km away.The airport is connected by scheduled flights to cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Srinagar.The relatively good connectivity and close proximity makes this the most viable option.Taxis are available from the airport and they cost around Rs 400 for the trip.

By Train

Kalka station is located 4 km away and this the nearest broad gauge rail head. The other option is to take a train to the Chandigarh station that is well connected. Second class train tickets from Delhi to Kalka cost around Rs 150. Trains from Chandigarh to Kalka cost around Rs 120. Taxis are available at both the places and they are the preferred way to reach the place.

By Bus

Government buses are available from Chandigarh and Kalka. Buses are the cheapest way to reach the place and they are available frequently.

Timber Trail Resort

Renuka Lake

Renuka Lake is situated at a height of 672 m and lies in Sirmour district. It is 123 km from Parwanoo, 60 km Renuka Lake in Parwanoofrom Paonta Sahib via Sataun and 38 km from Nahan via Dadahu. With a circumference of 3214m, Renukaji is the largest natural lake in Himachal. Shaped like the profile of a reclining woman, this is regarded as the embodiment of the goddess Renuka. Near the lake's feet is another lake held sacred by Hindus, and is associated to a legend surrounding her son, the legendary sage Parshurama. Both have temples built around them and the main temple dedicated to Goddess Renuka is regarded to have been built overnight in 18th century. The lake lies in a long valley and surrounding slopes are covered with thick woods. The lake is full of colourful fish and other acquatic animals. The lake is surrounded by a wildlife sanctuary and a few other temples. Boating facility is available at the lake.

Dagshai Hills

Dagshai Hills is 28 Km from Parwanoo . It was a one time British cantonment. This small town is surrounded by pine trees and also has an old church.Dagshai Hills in Parwanoo Built by the British as a sanatorium  for tuberculosis patients, it has a British era graveyard overlooking a valley. It is on the same height as Lawrence School Sanawar near Kasauli, and is a short drive from Dharampur on the Chandigarh Simla highway. It is some 65 kilometers from Chandigarh. Unlike Kasauli it is to the right of the highway while driving towards Simla. There are two roads up, both steep. And after snow , snow chains are a must to drive up to Dagshai or getting down from it. There is an army unit stationed there, a residential only Army Public School, Dagshai and a private school called Dagshai Public School.

Pinjore

Pinjore is 10 Km from Parwanoo.Parwanoo is an excellent base to visit the famed Mughal style gardens at Pinjore. Pinjore is famous for the beautiful Mughal Gardens, known as the Yadavindra Gardens. It is perhaps the loveliest and the oldest in northern India. It is said to have been made by Fidaikhan in the 17th century. The Haryana tourism department has developed the whole complex. It has lighted fountains, a restaurant, some rooms and a mini zoo. It has been renamed as Yadavindra Gardens as a mark of respect to the late Yadavindra Singh Maharaja of the earst while princely state of Patiala, Punjab.

Kasauli

Kasauli is a beautiful hill station 37 Km from Pinjore, a charming hill station with lots of old world charms.The small town was built in 19th century by britishers and it has the old charm. This picturesque hill-station oozing old-world charm is covered with tall Deodar, wild flowers, rhododendrons, wild roses, flame of the forest, and flowering Kichnar in summer and is a popular hub for bird-watchers and winters with snowfall.

Subathu

Subathu is 16 Km away from Parwanoo. It is Still a cantonment. It has also got the remains of a Gurkha Fort.
