Another temple known as the Shri Mahalsa, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is less than 2 kilometers further down the road. The temples of Shri Chandreshwar and Shri Mallikarjuna are located further down south.

Safa Shahouri Masjid

Safa Shahouri Masjid is the most famous among the 26 mosques in Goa, which were constructed by Sultan Adil Shahi of Bijapur in 1560. The mosque conforms to the typical Goan architecture, with the exception of the arches that indicate a distinct Bijapuri influence. Safa Shahouri Masjid is now in ruins and under the protection of the Archeological Survey of India.

Other attractions are the Bondla wildlife sanctuary and the Bhagvan Mahaveer sanctuary which are a must see for all nature lovers. The Bondla sanctuary is the smallest sanctuary and is spread over an area of 8 sq. kilometers. The place has rich flora and various species of deer form the major part of the fauna. Another attraction is the Dudhsagar Falls and is very impressive and spell binding. One can see it while going towards Karnataka on the eastern side.
