Seletar Airport  in the city and State of Singapore is the first international airport, it was completed in 1929, and be substituted by Kallang Airport(already closed) in 1937, nowadays, it is reuesd as another international airport mainly for chartered flights. It is located in Seletar in the north-eastern area of the main island, and is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. There has been a proposal to extend its runway to 2,000m, so as to be able to receive the Boeing 737

 By Road

There is an excellent road network between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Visitors can cross borders from the Causeway over the Straits of Johor. Several transport companies offer air-conditioned bus services between Singapore and almost all major Malaysian cities. 

Suntec City

Suntec City is one of the favorite among the locals. You can find most of the stuff here, ranging from fashion, electronic products, supermarket, cinema, game arcade and of course not mentioning dinning. During the day, you may like to walk around and touch the fountain water for luck (at basement). If you are lucky, there might be some events or exhibition going on at the convention hall, example like the IT Show is also held in here. Sightseeing activities are also available over here, you can board the Duck Tour or Hippo Tour design for tourist. Tired? One of my favorite spot is the Koi garden or the Bonsai garden, which i rest after a day of shopping.

Fort Canning Park

Fort Canning Hill known as Forbidden Hill has a rich history of 700years, start way back from the Malays settlement. The place was built on a hill which makes it distinctly different from the city. With the serene environment, you won’t even know you are in Central district. A few attractions are Old Married Soldiers Quarters, Fort Canning Centre, The Archaeological Dig, The Old Fort Gateway, and for the rest you might like to explore when you are there. The Legend is one of the top outdoor wedding locations for the locals.

Marina Bay Sands

Marina Bay Sands is one if thelatest attractions in Singapore. It is an intergrated resort meaning it has a casino and built in spaces for conventions which hosts world class events. Even if you are not visitng the casino, you should give the Marina Bay Sands Shoppe a visit as there are a vast arrays of shops and fine dinning choices that is sure to satistfy even the most discerning gourmet. Take a MRT to Suntec City and take bus number 97 which takes you directly to the Marina Bay Sands hotel. The Marina Bay Sands casino and shoppes are just across the street.

Thomson

Thomson is a relatively narrow area stretching from Novena in the Central Region of Singapore up north till Yishun. The area is mainly located within the central catchment area where some of Singapore's reservoirs are located, including MacRitchie Reservoir, Upper Peirce Reservoir and Lower Peirce Reservoir.
