Zofingen City Museum

The City Museum opened in 1901 is due to donations from the textile industrialist Gustav Straehl and pharmacist Hermann Fischer-Siegwart, which provided 150,000 francs (about 6 million in today's dollars) for the construction of a museum as well as their private collections.With further donations the museum was expanded gradually.Today it comprises two departments: the Department of History deals with the city's history Zofingen and the development of the printing industry and the history of Zofingia.In the Natural History Department is a comprehensive natural history collection.

Serene Open Air

The Joyous Open Air is one which takes place every August music festival in the Swiss town of Zofingen in the canton of Aargau.The three-day open air event took place in 1991.The musical spectrum is focused on national and international pop - and rock music but also with room for more music and standing under a special themed evenings.The event counts since the late 1990s to 35,000 visitors each.The idea of using the space-Cheerful music in Zofingen for major events, was already in the early 1970s. However, this plan was put into effect until 1991 with the anniversary " 700 years Confederation integrated "than the regional one-day open-air celebrations.was headlining the first edition which counted 4000 visitors was Roger Chapman.

Zofinger Children's Festival

Music & Theatre Zofingen
