The Peanut Capital of Australia

Kingaroy has much to display about these popular legumes. Dominating the skyline of Halley Street are enormous Peanut Silos and serve as the main attraction. The rich red soil of the land is amazing to see after recent rains, when it contrasts the green of the new growth. The lookout at Mt Wooroolin provides a panoramic view of the town and is only 4km from the CBD.

Wine and Food In The Park

The 13th annual South Burnett Wine & Food In The Park Festival will be held at Memorial Park in Kingaroy - right in the heart of Queensland's newest wine region - from 10:00am to 9:00pm on Saturday 12th March 2011.

Burrandowan Picnic Races

Don't miss any of the action at this fabulous race day in the bush. Head out early for the Clay Target shoot starting at 9 am. By the time the first race begins at 1pm, you will have already made new friends and set up your position for the day with old ones.
